The waterproof and breathable Pertex Shield Pro membrane provides robust protection against the elements. Mammut's High-Visibility Backer, Vertical Motion for easy movement, and High Reach technologies as well as compatibility with a pack or harness are distinctive features of the Nordwand. The two-way adjustable storm hood has a reinforced vision screen. The front zipper is a waterproof 2-way YKK Vislon. Two harness-compatible zippered pockets, a zippered chest pocket and two inner mesh pockets provide storage. The cuffs are adjustable and glove-compatible, and the drawcord at the hem can be adjusted with one hand.
